Orange Sauce for Chicken


1 1/2 Cups Water
2 TBS Orange Juice
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1/3 Cup Rice Vinegar
2 1/2 TBS Soy Sauce
1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp minced fresh Garlic
1/2 tsp minced fresh Ginger
2 TBS Chopped Grean Onion
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
3 TBS Corn starch
2 TBS water
1 TBS Grated Orange Zest (optional)

Sauce Pan


1. Pour 1 1/2 cups water, orange juice, lemon juice, rice vinegar and soy sauce into to sauce pan, place over medium heat.

2. Stir in orange zest, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, chopped onion and red peppers. Bring to a boil. Once the sauce begins to boil, remove from heat for 10-15 min.

3. Mix together cornstarch and 2 TBS water.

4. Transfer sauce from sauce pan to the skillet and bring to a boil over medium/high heat. While the sauce is coming to a boil add the cornstarch/water mix.

5. Reduce heat to medium/low and add cooked chicken pieces. Simmer about 5 minutes.
